The purpose of the survey was to understand the impact COVID-19 has had on businesses and employees in South Africa, as well as to understand how employees are working from home and what tools they are using to maintain their productivity.

Survey Methodology

The survey was conducted online on MyBroadband and BusinessTech between 18 – 21 April 2020.  A total of 1405 respondents employed South African citizen participated in the full survey. As MyBroadband and Businesstech have a higher than average representation of ICT professionals, as well as consumers with a greater propensity for using technology, the results were weighted in order to more accurately represent South African businesses on the whole.  The results of the data were also weighted by company size so at to represent the distribution of companies in South Africa by number of employees according to the CIPC.
